Raising up the next generation of Proverbs 31 women by linking classical ballet training with Biblical character development.
RegisterIt is our creative aim to saturate every class with massive quantities of God's powerful Word.
We strive to inextricably link the physical training with the spiritual training, and to use the one as a means to the other.
We believe students are deep thinkers and wholehearted imitators, able to comprehend depth and achieve excellence.
We aim to make Ballet a God-honoring delight, not a life-consuming idol.
We see ourselves as just one of many tools available to Godly parents raising Godly daughters.
We encourage women to be feminine and cherish beauty and elegance.
We view ballet as merely a dispensable means toward the end of Christ-likeness.
We aim to uphold the sanctity of worship among not-yet-saved students by focusing on character development.
Our studio provides three different kinds of Biblical ballet classes in the Lake Stevens area.
The goal of Ballet 31 is to develop basic ballet technique and Godly character. Each class has an element of stretching, barre work, center work, character focus, and across the floor. The goal is to master the fundamental components of ballet, build technique, stamina, musicality, poise, elegance, and ballet terminology. In addition, students are encouraged to make character development goals.
$20 per hour class ($240 for the 12 week course). The first student enrolled is full price, each additional student from the same family is another 25% off (eg. third child would be 50% off, fourth 75%, and if you have five children… then its free from there!). Additional work exchanges and scholarships are available. Ballet is innately an expensive sport and we want to make it available to anyone who is willing to work hard!
The goal of division class is to pair rigorous physical training with rigorous spiritual development. This class is by audition only, and requires a daily at-home routine of physical and spiritual work to build strength, stamina, flexibility, and Biblical character. Before class, the instructor will meet with the student and the parent to create customized goals for spiritual growth (Bible study, prayer, and one particular sin to attack) and physical growth (strength, stamina, and flexibility). They will decide upon accountability questions that their classmates will ask them during class each week as they progress. In class, students will begin with a rigorous core warm up routine, followed by more advanced technical barre work and more advanced center-work combinations.
Each division class student is also required to be in the Ballet 31 class. The combination of Ballet 31 and division class is $26.50 for an hour and 40 mins of instruction per week ($318 total for the 12 week course). The same large family and work scholarships are available as in other class.
The goal of this Tiny Dancer’s class is to inspire a love of dance in a healthy Godly environment. Emphasis is on coordination, imagination, teamwork, poise, elegance and musicality. Each week in class we do stretches, creative movement dances, barre work, a character focus, and across the floor.
$15 per 50 minute class ($180 for the 12 week course).
Rose trained with the Pacific Northwest Ballet for 10 years, dancing in dozens of productions including as Clara in the PNB's Nutcracker. In 2016 she believed the Lord was calling her out of ballet, so she shifted her focus and has spent the last 10 years working in childhood education, helping families memorize books of the Bible. In 2024 she started Ballet 31 to utilize the wonderful educational and motivational aspects of dance toward a God-glorifying end.
Kayla Green trained with the Yorba Linda Academy of Ballet, competed in YAGP, toured with the Paradosi Ballet Company, and taught at the Surrendered School of Dance. In 2023 she and her husband moved up to Lake Stevens, and in 2025 she joined as a teacher and choreographer with Ballet 31. She has a passionate love for dance, love for her two daughters, and love for the Lord.
